VCU-Hacks Website
Visit ProjectThe Student Advisory Board at VCU’s Computer Science Department is dedicated to fostering community through engaging, hands-on events. Our team hosted a high-energy, five-hour hackathon where students could prototype creative projects, form connections, and collaborate with like-minded peers.
To make participation seamless and memorable, I was in-charge of designing and building a responsive website that:
Streamlines registration with a user-friendly sign-up form; Delivers personalized onboarding, immediately generating a custom 3D event-card for each participant; Provides an intuitive dashboard where students can create teams, invite fellow hackers, and access curated resources; and Enables effortless check-in for organizers, using the 3D cards to track attendance in real time.
We achieved 103 registrations with 100 active participants; an outstanding turnout that made for a fun and inspiring experience across the department.
